I have to wonder if a shadow is only a reflection of our own self in light. We travel so many roads as we make our way through this wondrous life. Some of these roads are bumpy and some are as smooth as riding on a puffy cloud. I was listening to one of my favorite songs the other night sung by the beautiful Stevie Nicks; Landslide. In her song is this verse; “Well, I’ve been afraid of changing, cause I built my life around you. But time makes you bolder, children get older, I’m getting older too.” Love that song!

Change is one of the biggest fears that we as human’s encounter. Instead of looking forward at the new light, we get stuck looking back through our shadows at the things that we find comfort in. It’s like that with most events in our lives and it’s especially like that with the family and friends we love and know so well. We are each allotted so much time here on earth, some more and unfortunately, some less. We need to take as much of our life possible into our hearts and cherish every moment with the ones we love. Remember that time stops for no one.

Life has so much in store for you when you open your eyes and see the opportunity lurking around all of the corners in your life. It’s never too late to change your life up. When you get to those unknown places, pause for a moment and take a look back. The shadow following is the same old person with all the memories. What about those loved ones who have passed you might be asking? They are right behind you, pushing you along and smiling at the person that you are becoming.

Yes, we are getting older too, but it is up to you to make all new footprints into your future. Yes, your heart can seem empty in this new, unknown world but watch how full your shadow becomes when you set new roads! Look ahead, your future is calling you! Make it a great day everyone! Only the Shadow knows!!

Rebirth http://timothyholickentrepr.startlogic.com/2019/01/03/rebirth/ http://timothyholickentrepr.startlogic.com/2019/01/03/rebirth/#respond Thu, 03 Jan 2019 16:17:41 +0000 http://demo.themegrill.com/spacious/?p=56

We find out as we get older that life seems to come around full circle, over and over again. One of the most important things to remember is that we need to keep beginning and failing, beginning and failing and then we begin all over again, and fail. Each time we hit the cycle, we understand ourselves that much more. We become stronger, smarter, more resilient and readier to take on a new purpose, a purpose that we had never thought possible. Frustration and problems make you want to quit but you hang strong anyways.

I had a young friend ask me recently: “Wouldn’t it be easier if we only had to do something once and get it?” That one was hard to argue with but eventually convinced her that the knowledge was hidden in the crevices of the cycle. To understand success, you have to marry frustration for a while.

How is it that we get wiser each time around I hear you ask? I can equate it to the saying, “The more we know, the more we know that we don’t know.” The mind grows at each cycle because every time that we start, we start with a new and clearer perspective. The more we keep it going, the more the mind grows and understands. The more you repeat, the more it becomes habit and you don’t have to think about it as much anymore.

What do you think is stopping you from new opportunities or achieving your goals? Take the time to write down all these things that you believe is stopping you and work on them, over and over again till they are gone from your mind. How many times will it take? It will take you as long as it takes to find a new and better you. Remember, you never actually fail, you just need to practice more.

Don’t fret, don’t quit, you will get there in time! Make it a great day everyone! Believe in the cycle and the process will eventually set you free.
